Happy 1st Birthday Thomas!

It's truly amazing that it's been one year already. Everyone with kids of their own has warned us that they grow up so quickly. And while we've both cherished every single second we've spent with Thomas, it's still amazing to think it's already been one year. Time really flies when you're having fun!

Thomas turned ONE YEAR OLD on May 24th, 2010. Not only was it a special day for Thomas, but a special day for Daddy as well. With Mommy out of town for work, Daddy left work early to pick up the Birthday Boy to spend some time with him on his special day. Daddy and Thomas played together, ate dinner together, took a long walk together (with Eddie) around the neighborhood, "talked" to Mommy on the phone, and then played some more. Then, Daddy rocked and sang Thomas to sleep to cap off a great first birthday.

A special boy deserves a special party, and that's what Thomas got on May 29th, 2010, as many of Thomas's close family and friends got together at our house to celebrate. Mommy (and Grandma Clark) made a special train cake for Thomas (see below), all of the guests sang to him, and he enjoyed eating some cake later in the day. It was a very special day for Thomas, but also for Mommy and Daddy, and we would like to THANK everyone that made the trip to spend the day with us. It was a great day, everyone had a great time, and it is a day that we'll always remember. We are very grateful to have such wonderful and supportive friends and family...
